shojo – premium sake

shojo is a creative project involving the ideation and development of brand
and label design for a sake brand with the theme of japanese noh theater.
the entire concept embodies the japanese ideology of ma in which emptiness
is the highest potential for expression.

the logo design is inspired by the japanese inkan, the font is designed
to reflect the typical kanji. the label design is an illustration
of the theatrical character shōjō,a jovial spirit related to alcohol
and drunkenness engaged in his typical dance the midare.
